Dream Talk with June

Dreams can solve everyday life problems, point to answers, to all those things you didn’t notice during the day.  But most of all, the dream-maker wants you to understand WHAT you are.  It is only the ego that is “merely” human.  Dreams point to your spiritual essence, your purpose, the “you” that is more than who friends call by your name.  The dream-maker wants you to “recognize” the entity of your soul, wants you to live inside your true nature.

Dreams clearly point toward a spirit that knows you, but is more than you.  It is rooted – or elevated – deep in the mystery of the other side.      You are meant to understand.  Dreams ask you to dare to believe in them, in yourself.  If you establish a communication with the dream-maker, don’t be surprised if the spirits and characters of your dreams show up in your waking life.

The dream-maker is always trying to reach you, is always an ally and always trying to tell you what you need to know.  The language is poetic.  Though, even when you do understand, the mystery is never fully revealed because its origin is deep within the Other.  It can only be followed a certain distance – but that distance is enough.

All cultures have their people who understand dreams.  These are people who help deliver the message; a bit like a midwife.  This is who I am.

When I was a child an elderly woman in my family identified three of us – with certain inherited physical characteristics – as our generation’s dreamers.  Frankly at the time, I didn’t pay much attention, but she was right.  People have always sought me to ask about their dreams.  The first time a Medicine Man came with his dream, I was surprised, but he has his gifts and I have mine.

I am from the southeastern corner of Oklahoma where east Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma almost meet.  In the hills and along the Red River is a unique culture of interrelated, mixed-blood families who have lived there since Oklahoma Territory.  It is a culture where seeing spirits is not unusual, where spontaneous predictive statements are accepted as almost normal.  It is a place where my gift is not so extraordinary.

I have a Bachelor Degree in psychology and an Interdisciplinary Masters Degree in Counseling.  I live in a small house on a small property in the northwest United States.  I write poetry, make medicine from roots and leaves.  I watch the changing light and listen.  Listening is the reason for the website.
